OptiStor uses
a structured methodology for aligning the IT operation
with the needs of the business. This approach, through
business interviews and examination, defines the needs
of the business as a series of imperatives that serve
as the foundation and justification for each of the
Information Technology disciplines defined in the IT
Roadmap. This IT Roadmap is then used to influence the
strategic directions, while eliminating reactionary
decisions that can prove costly and ineffective.
Business imperatives define the absolute requirements
that the business must satisfy in order to operate successfully.
The collection of imperatives must be clear, concise,
and yet comprehensive enough to address all critical
aspects of the business. These imperatives are the basis
for aligning the IT environment with the requirements
of the business.
